At Ashe Green Riding, we believe horses can provide a powerful and practical way for young people to learn, develop confidence and build skills.
Our Alternative Provision offer is designed for young people in Key Stages 2 to 4 who may benefit from a smaller, practical learning environment outside the traditional classroom.
Based at our purpose-built riding centre, our provision combines equestrian activities, practical learning and personal development, with sessions tailored around the individual young person, their needs and agreed outcomes.

Our Alternative Provision can include:
Provision is intentionally small-scale and personalised, allowing us to consider each referral individually and adapt activities to the young person's abilities, needs and interests.
AGR can consider referrals involving a range of additional needs and SEND, subject to an individual assessment of suitability, need and safety.
Ashe Green Riding is an established 5-star rate riding school operating from a purpose-built equestrian centre. Alongside our riding-school activities, we already support young people through college placements, work experience, volunteering opportunities and home-educated learning.
Our aim is to build on that experience by providing a supportive Alternative Provision environment in which young people can engage with learning through horses and practical activity.
We welcome enquiries from schools, commissioners, parents/carers and professionals who would like to discuss whether Ashe Green Riding may be suitable for a young person.
Current status: Ashe Green Riding is currently progressing an application to join Suffolk County Council's Alternative Education Rolling Select List. Commissioned placements through that framework will commence only following acceptance of our application and completion of the required pre-commencement arrangements.
